The hamam spa treatment at Shosho Beauty Spa and Body Works is a traditional steam bath and body cleansing ritual that exfoliates and relaxes the body. Hammam is the first of the body treatments listed on our Google Business Profile, ahead of sugar scrubs, body polish, steaming and detox.
The ritual takes place in a private treatment area at Abraham Plaza, Utako, for women and men.
The Ritual
Steam comes first, opening the pores and loosening the muscles. The body is then washed in the traditional way, exfoliated thoroughly from shoulders to feet, and rinsed with warm water. Moisturiser finishes the treatment. The skin is deeply clean and renewed, and the body is calm.
Hammam and Massage
The hammam is a full treatment on its own and the strongest start to a spa day. Add a Swedish massage or deep tissue massage afterwards and the muscles, already softened by the heat, release completely. Appointments are required, and we are open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
